We begin this week’s show with a look back at last week when Miz was given a standing ovation by the official mouthpiece of the Raw General Messenger. Then we see Jerry Lawler confront Miz, and then they had a heck of a TLC match later that night. But what will Michael Cole say led him to get involved in the match?
Miz’s music plays and he comes out with Alex Riley and his briefcase. Miz says that Randy used to be so original and stand on his own, but he now sounds like everyone who underestimated him. They were in the same Money in the Bank match and he won while Orton lost. Now Orton is in the ring with only tough talk and an injured knee while Miz is the WWE Champion. Miz says that Orton won’t be facing him for the title. Miz says that the General Manager doesn’t have to defend the title until the TLC pay per view. Miz says that Orton’s knee will be okay but Orton will lose again.
Orton wants to know where the seven guys are to work on his knee before the match. Orton tells Miz not to consider Riley as a person.
Riley says that Miz doesn’t have to lower himself to face Orton. Riley says that he has five minutes to kill so he challenges Orton.
Orton says that he has no idea what Riley just said, but he accepts the match.
Miz tells Orton that the General Manager told him that he can choose the stipulation at the pay per view. Miz says that he is going to think long and hard because his response will be like him . . . awesome.
Orton says that some might think he is too injured to compete but there is something that he can do whether he is injured or not. Orton gives Cole an RKO.
We go to commercial.
Alex Riley says that he would never let Miz down. Miz tells Riley that he is representing him and Miz is the most must-see WWE Champion. Everyone is talking about his title win. They are calling this the turning point in the history of the company. Miz tells Riley he needs to win the match. Riley says that the only way Orton leaves Louisville is on his hands and knees. Miz says that he will show Orton what his match is going to be at TLC.
Match Number Five: Randy Orton versus Alex Riley with Miz Match
Miz distracts Orton and Riley goes for the knee and then he kicks Orton in the leg. Riley wrings the leg but Orton punches Riley until the referee pulls him out of the corner. Riley drops the knee onto his shoulder and gets a near fall. Riley with elbows to the knee as he continues to work on the leg. Orton punches Riley and then hits an Olympic Slam. Orton with a punch but Riley punches back. They continue to exchange punches until Orton gains control. Orton with a reverse atomic drop followed by clotheslines. Orton with a power slam and then it is time to stare before the RKO. Instead Riley goes to the apron and Orton brings him in with the IEDDT. Orton looks at Miz before the corkscrew dive into the RKO pushups. Miz comes from behind and gives Orton a Skull Crushing Finale and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Randy Orton by disqualification
Miz gets on the mic and he says that he is going to show Orton what stipulation they are going to have at the pay per view. Miz looks under one part of the ring and sees nothing. He eventually finds a table and brings it into the ring. Miz sets up the table. Miz wants to give Orton a Skull Crushing Finale through the table, but Orton escapes and he tries for a power bomb through the table. Miz gets out of the ring.
Alex Riley isn’t out of the ring and Randy Orton has that evil look in his eye. Orton grabs Riley by the hand and then he power bombs Riley through the table.
